It appears that in an attempt by police officers to "help" the citizenry by performing "welfare" checks on the sick and elderly, the uninvited tax-eaters with deadly weapons shot and killed a 47-year old woman who didn't desire any "help" and apparently made "threats" which created a "necessity" to fire upon the unarmed and defenseless homeowner.

Yet another great example of "protecting and serving". Of course they're only interested in protecting and serving the State.
